The Camping Challenge
We know you are missing the great outdoors so we thought we would challenge you a night under 'canvas'!
We would like you to either, set up camp in your garden, OR, create some sort of shelter or den in your home and spend Friday or Saturday or both nights in your tent / shetler / den.
We want to see photos of your special camp, including your virtual campfire (don't forget Wirral Council's advice against fires). Each night you spend in your camp will count as a Night Away for your Nights Away badges so be sure to email us your details and your photo each night so we can let your leaders know how many nights away you earned. Send your photos to keeponscouting@birkenheadscouts.org.uk
To help you get into the camp spirit, we will be holding a Zoom campfire sing-a-long at 19.00 on both Friday and Saturday night.
Campfire Challenge
As Wirral Council is asking residents not to have fires during lockdown due to the smoke causing difficulties for anyone suffering with Covid-19, we would like you to create a campfire with no real flames / smoke. Use your imaginations and creativity to make something that looks like a campfire. It could be a model, a computer animation, a decorated cookie, anything you like, so long as it looks like a campfire but isn't a real fire. Your camp fire should be ready for the Camping Challenge but feel free to post images of it on social media before then using #ChallengeWeekend2020.
